We’ve been looking forward to this one ever since it was announced earlier this year - Cardiff alt rock quartet HIMALAYAS close their extensive 23 date EU/UK tour in Sin City. Their latest single ‘The Masquerade’ has received critical acclaim from the like of:

  • Huw Stephens, BBCR1: “I told you this band were noisy, it’s a big one, sounds brilliant”

  • Greg James, BBCR1: “It's gotta be bombastic and loud and angsty and it lives up to it"

  • Elise Cobain, Amazing Radio: "Fantastic band, the best in modern new rock in the UK at the moment"

  • Bethan Elfyn, BBC Radio Wales: “One of Wales’ hottest bands at the moment. What a song, what a tune!”

The Masquerade is a caricature of modern British politics, outlining both the absurdity and malice of a system rigged against the interests of the majority.

In the past year alone the band have conquered both Reading and Leeds, Festival no. 6, SXSW, The Great Escape, Live at Chelsea, Isle of Wight, Liverpool Calling, Festival Jalles House Rock, Somerset Rocks, Y Not, Truck, Tramlines and an array of headline shows as well as supports including Kaiser Chiefs, Gang of Youths and Marmozets.

Himalayas are one band that you need to see before they hit it the big time. This Saturday will become a real “I was there when Himalayas played Sin City” moment.

Supporting the band on the night are Cardiff rockers Death Cult Electric and local boys Motel Thieves.
